Portal 2 Coop Level 6
Azarift87 posted. Spoilers 'Then again, it could have happened at any time during the single player that GLaDOS was in control.' Nah, it without a doubt has to be at the very end of the game, because near the end, prior to GLaDOS retaking control, when you were trying to reach Wheatley, with GLaDOS, Wheatley mentions that he found the two co-op droids buried back in storage.

Portal 2 Coop Level 3

I (finally) finished the last level of portal 2 coop, since I finally have a friend who plays. I'm quite confused by it, though.1) I thought Chell was the last human. Why were there hundreds of humans at the end? I thought the whole purpose of Peabody and Atlas was so GLaDOS could still test even without humans.2) Why was 'old Aperture' equipped for cooperative testing?

Portal 2 Coop Level 4
Toward the end, you are going through old style tests, but they have two entrance and exit tubes. I thought coop testing (with robots) only started with Atlas and Peabody.3) Why does GLaDOS talk as though she still hates Chell? I thought after finding Caroline, she decided she respected/loved Chell (Turret Opera).4) Did Wheatley find Atlas and Peabody? If so, who made them, and why didn't GLaDOS know about or use them?5) Does robot testing give GLaDOS the same 'testing high' that human testing does?6) How long after Chell's escape did Atlas and Peabody start testing?7) Why did GLaDOS need all the disks plugged in? What purpose did they serve?
Did she not have full control? Why not?8) During the credits, every time a human comes through, a credit name is listed. When essential testing apparatus (cubes, turrets, etc.) comes past, no name is given, but when Companion Cubes come through, it seems like a name is listed.
Is this the case? Does this give credence to the 'Companion Cubes are sentient' theory?.
I don't have all the answers, and my memory is a little fuzzy - I haven't played the co-op since the game was released. I don't have many friends who'd play with me. Basically, preface all these answers with 'As I recall.' 1.) GLaDOS thought Chell was the last human.
She wasn't actually aware of the vault of humans that were hidden away in old Aperture.2.) This one eludes me. I wager GLaDOS still has a loose amount of control over the area, and since Aperture seems to be pretty modular, it's not out of the question that she can add in just the tubes so Atlas and P-body can test there.3.) GLaDOS has a tricky relationship with Chell. They worked together for a time, but I don't think they ever became friends. She let her go, and said she would miss her, which probably wasn't a lie. Letting her go was easier than killing her, and she was the last human test subject, so it's not outside of the realm of possibility that she'd miss having that around.4.) Yeah, I think Wheatley found Atlas and P-Body, but they hadn't been activated yet.
GLaDOS created them, I think, but never had a use for them while she still had human test subjects.5.) No, she doesn't. From pretty early on, GLaDOS was using the robots to find the human vault, as the location had somehow been wiped from her memory.6.) Good question. I'd wager pretty soon after, considering(Co-op DLC spoiler)7.) Those disks were to give her the location of the human vault, not to give her more power. They also may have activated certain parts of the facility, but their primary function was information.8.) I got nothing on this one. 1)GladOS wasn't aware of the vault.2)I don't think GladOS troubled herself with the old facility. It isn't out of the question that Cave Johnson considered cooperative testing.3)Probably out of habit.
She didn't love Chell though. She just accepted that she cannot be defeated.4)He did.
You can see them at the beginning of a test chamber as an easter egg.5)You don't hear her complaining so I guess it does.6)Probably right away. We do know that when GladOS isn't testing she gets an 'itch'.7)Well when the scientists created GladOS surely didn't want her to control the whole facility. The disks allowed her to get full control.8)Yes.
But that is my opinion. 1) She wasn't aware of the vault2) One of the Portal trailers shows that Cave Johnson did some co op testing3) GLaDOS didn't suddenly love Chell; as the song Want You Gone showed, GLaDOS just accepted that she can't kill Chell.4) Ye, Weatley did find Atlas and P-Body.
He mentions that, if I remember correctly, just before the start of Chapter 9: The Part Where He Kills You. After he says that he found them, GLaDOS says it was just a side project that she was working on, and that 'You did kill me. Fair's fair.' 5) I would presume so.6) Probably immediately afterward.
Portal 2 Cooperative Level 6
There's no timeframe given, but it has to be pretty soon as the bird is still alive, and GLaDOS needs to test to relieve the 'itch' that being in charge of the facility gives you.7) They gave her the location of the vault if I remember correctly. It's been a while since I've replayed the coop campaign, so I might be wrong about this.8) Just rewatched the credits, and at 2:05 in, a companion cube gets scanned, and nothing happens. Hitfilm 2 express for mac. Another one appears at 3:50, and again nothing happens. The cube that appears at 4:00 in the video has a weird yellow hue to it that doesn't appear on regular cubes or companion cubes, but that doesn't really matter, cause nothing happens when that on is scanned either. The one at 4:30 isn't even scanned at all, and no more companion cubes appear.So.
